1. Who We Are

ChromeCreatures and the Browser Ecology Authority are operated by Gray Systems Ltd (company number 17149412), registered in England and Wales at 50 Essex Street, London, WC2R 3JF ("we", "us", "our").

These Terms govern your access to and use of the ChromeCreatures website, web app, browser extension, and related services (the "Service").

2. Acceptance

By accessing or using the Service, creating an account, or linking the browser extension, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

3. The Service

ChromeCreatures is a browser-based collection game. The extension may show fictional creatures while you browse, and the app lets you encounter, capture, collect, process, and assign those creatures.

Browser Coins, ecosystem resources, items, creatures, variants, and similar in-game assets are fictional game mechanics. They have no cash value, cannot be redeemed for money, and do not create ownership rights outside the Service.

4. Accounts and Extension Linking

You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. If you link the browser extension, you are responsible for use of that linked install unless you unlink it or tell us it has been compromised.

We may suspend or revoke access where we reasonably believe an account, extension token, or install has been compromised or used in breach of these Terms.

5. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under 18, you should only use the Service with permission from a parent or guardian.

6. Acceptable Use

You must not:

• Use the Service unlawfully or in a way that infringes the rights of others.
• Attempt to bypass capture, spawn, rarity, economy, rate-limit, or account controls.
• Reverse engineer, tamper with, or abuse the extension, API, app, or game logic.
• Use bots, scripts, scraping, automation, or direct API calls to gain unfair advantage.
• Upload, transmit, or introduce malicious code or harmful traffic.
• Misrepresent your identity or interfere with another user's account.

7. Availability and Changes

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. It may change, break, reset, or be withdrawn. We may alter creatures, rules, spawn rates, item behaviour, resources, balance, features, or access at any time.

We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available on every website, browser, device, or extension environment.

8. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its software, game systems, text, artwork, creature names, branding, interface design, and related content, belongs to Gray Systems Ltd or its licensors.

You may use the Service for personal gameplay and ordinary browsing. You must not copy, resell, redistribute, or create derivative products from the Service without our written permission.

9. User Content and Feedback

If you send us feedback, bug reports, names, suggestions, or other submissions, you allow us to use them to operate, improve, and promote the Service without payment or obligation to you.

10. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect and use personal data, including account data and extension-related event data. It forms part of these Terms.

11. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive losses, including loss of profit, revenue, goodwill, data, or opportunity arising from your use of the Service.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if you breach these Terms, create security risk, abuse the Service, or if we discontinue the Service.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service.

14. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be posted on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms.
